What is Speech Therapy
Speech therapy differs for each child, but can cover a variety of areas including listening skills, language comprehension, verbal expression, speech production (articulation), fluency (stuttering), AAC, phonological awareness, issues related to Autism, involved disorders, and social and pragmatic language. Therapy is often play-based in it’s approach.
About Meredith Tonarelli
Meredith Tonarelli is a licensed speech language pathologist who has been practicing since 2011. Meredith received her Masters from the University of Illinois. She is also a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed within the State of Illinois.
Meredith has been providing services mostly in the school-setting, but has also had experience in the home and clinic servicing preschoolers through teenagers. She has had extensive experience working with general receptive and expressive language delays, fluency, AAC, articulation and phonology, oral motor delay, and social and pragmatic language deficits.
